Trey turned two on Saturday the 7th. We had a big day that he is still recovering from which means that mom is too. I have so many pictures from his birthday that I am going to put them into a slide show. It started off with waking him up early for a pancake breakfast and his birthday shirt which is a birthday tradition in my family. Then my brother and sister-in law Mike and Kate came over we gave him presents and then it was off to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It is so amazing and Trey could not believe that he was seeing real sharks. The sharks would swim right up to the glass and it looked like they were coming right at you. We got to touch the sting ray and some other sea creatures. After a long day of walking all over the aquarium it was time to come home. Trey was sad to leave but really tired. He took about a 30 minute car nap which is never a good thing. We got back to the house and had cake before dinner because Mike and Kate had to go babysit that night. Then we took Trey to Red Robin for dinner because he loves to get a balloon and the onion rings. He loved it when they sang Happy Birthday to him and loved his ice cream sunday. Then we came home, gave him a bath and let him watch his new movie Shark Tales. Thank you to everyone who helped make his birthday special with all of the phone calls and singing. He loved it.
Trey had his 2 year appointment today and he is in the 75th percentile for weight, 87% for height! Jed is so proud. We love our little big man and can't believe how fast the last 2 years have gone by. Trey is so sweet and yet has the nick name "Little Raging Bull" (Raging Bull was a nick name that Jed had when he was younger). He loves reading books, doing puzzles, playing at the park, swimming, golf, basketball, t-ball, football (anything sports and is surprisingly coordinated) and he is really into sharks right now. He calls them "Larks." He wants to watch YouTube videos of sharks and Shamoo everyday which is hard to find appropriate shark videos for a 2 year old but thanks to my mom she got him the movie Shark Tales for his birthday which he loves. He is learning new words and loves playing with friends. He gets excited when we talk about baby sissy and is learning to say Brooklyn but I don't think that he understands that she is going to be staying with us forever. He will be a great big brother though. Some of his nicknames are Raging Bull, Bud, Chubbers, and Little Man. We love you Trey!
